Cruising is more than just a vacation, it’s an all-inclusive experience and recently we were able to discover the Oasis of the Seas from Royal Caribbean . Departing from Fort Lauderdale our vacation began as soon as we set foot aboard the Oasis of the Seas. Our first thoughts of the ship were Awesome.

The day and the life of Cruisers. 

We made our way through the Eastern Caribbean .  Our first impression was we are never going to want to go home, after this. We enjoyed our stay in a Family Ocean View Stateroom.


A Sweet Idea: Cupcake Cupboard on Royal Caribbean Delights

While sailing aboard the Oasis of the Seas, we had many dining options to choose from. Our favorite restaurant was Seafood Shack. We had our Favorite, Sushi and it was the best we have ever had.

There is no end to the on-board entertainment. From intimate lounges and late-night clubs to award-winning theaters and comedy skits, cruise entertainment has enough variety to keep anyone entertained. The Aqua Theater dive show was Chicago.

It wouldn’t be vacation without some quality relaxation. The Oasis of the Seas spa and fitness facilities were second to none. At the Vitality at Sea Spa I received Facial treatment and it was Heavenly. Tranquil poolside Solarium area. The tranquil poolside Solarium area was our favorite the whirlpools were so relaxing, we didn’t want to get out.

Royal Adventures in Port: Shore Excursions Brings Destinations to Life

While we could’ve stayed on the Oasis of the Seas for the entire trip, we took some time to explore NASSAU BAHAMAS. Some of the shore excursions offered by Royal Caribbean were ST. THOMAS  We participated in GET TO KNOW NASSAU, A LOVELY ISLAND AND BEACH TOUR in St. Thomas, and We had a lovely time. These Islands are beautiful, a must see!

Our Eastern Caribbean cruise aboard the Oasis of the Seas was family friendly, not only a family of any size, singles, romance, it is for everyone.

Overall, sailing Eastern Caribbean aboard Oasis of the Seas was an experience I will never forget. Our most memorable moment was “All of it”. I would recommend this cruise to Anyone. Please contact us at (619) 328-1846 to start planning your cruise vacation.

How to Pack for Your Cruise
A salty breeze blowing through your hair, far-off places waiting to be explored…your Windstar cruise is just days away and it’s hard to think of much else. Except for how to pack for your cruise, that is. What will you wear on board? How should you prepare for the shore excursions? Do you need a guidebook?Windstar cruises are all about having fun and letting go, and we intend to help you do just that. We’ve packed for more than a few cruises by now, so we have a few good tips to help you get the most out of your voyage. Just throw these items in your suitcase and let your worries fade with each passing wave.Let’s start with the essentials. Items like these should not be left at home:

  • The little things: sunglasses, sunscreen, any medications or special toiletries you might need
  • Electronics: a camera or video camera to record your memories, plus chargers and extra batteries ID, travel documents, foreign currency, and credit cards (don’t forget to warn your card company that you’ll be traveling)
  • 2 swimsuits (so you have a back-up suit to wear while the other dries)
  • Appropriate footwear: one pair each of sandals, everyday shoes, and good walking shoes
  • Workout attire (there’s nothing more relaxing than yoga on deck at sunrise)
  • Flexible clothing: aim to bring a few sets of tops and bottoms that can be mixed and matched so you get multiple outfits out of a few items. Be sure to bring light clothing that can be layered on or removed as the temperature changes. Don’t worry about dressing up unless you want to—Windstar is a luxury cruise line but we don’t want formality to get in the way of true escape. Windstar’s laundry package makes it easy to travel light and enjoy the feeling of freshly washed and pressed clothing every day from our professional laundry. With 24-hour (or less) turn around, this is a great convenience and bargain at only $109 per cabin for a 7-day voyage.

Now that we have the basics of how to pack for your cruise out of the way, let’s talk about a few things you might not have considered yet.

  • Bring an empty travel bag/backpack. Use it for the souvenirs you pick up when you dock. Whether your shore excursions take you to the traditional lace shops in Venice or the open markets in Turkey, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to pick up souvenirs.
  • Get something special for your special someone. Bring a romantic gift for your partner and surprise him or her on a special night at sea. The memories you make on your voyage will last a lifetime, so make it count.
  • Pack an outlet for your inner artist. There’s nothing like fresh air and time off to get your creative juices flowing. Come prepared with a sketchpad or poetry notebook. And why not bring a journal to record your thoughts and observations about the trip?
  • Sight-see like a pro. Read up on the land excursions you’ll be taking in advance so you can be sure to make the most of your time on shore. This will also help you pack appropriate clothing and footwear. And don’t forget your binoculars. You never know what you’re going to want to view off in the distance.

Whatever you do, just don’t forget to pack your sense of adventure!

Royal Caribbean unveils new attractions aboard Quantum of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean International announced that its new ship Quantum of the Seas will be the first to feature the North Star, a unique transportation device that will give passengers a bird’s-eye view of their surroundings. The vessel will also feature the line’s first virtual balconies, as well as SeaPlex, an indoor entertainment venue that will feature roller skating, a basketball court, bumper cars and a circus school.

Royal Caribbean’s next ship will feature a giant mechanical arm that transports passengers high above the vessel in a glass capsule.

Scheduled to debut in fall 2014 and spring 2015, respectively, the two vessels will be part of what the line is now calling the Quantum class.

While the Oasis class ships have been a notable success, commanding premium pricing, Royal Caribbean executives have said the line needs a mix of different size ships to allow for flexibility in itinerary planning. Royal Caribbean currently operates 22 vessels spread among six classes that range in size from about 69,000 tons to 225,282 tons.

Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas

I know this has nothing to do with Alaska, but, I couldn’t pass this up!
